Students

What is it like to be a Food Science student?

The student experience is very important to us here. We are a tight-knit group, and the department offers many ways for our students to interact and get involved. Extracurricular activities are abundant at the University of Arkansas and we encourage you to participate in things that interest you.

The Food Science Club offers several opportunities outside‐the‐classroom to have fun, help others and learn. Events such as the Quiz Bowl Competition, Food & Beverage Innovation Competitions and the Ozark section of the Institute of Food Technologists programs are excellent for networking and adding to your resume. Join the product development team, get involved in a research project, or participate in a hands-on learning experience with study abroad or the Honors Program, as such experiences will make you more competitive when you seek employment in the food industry.

If you are a student in need of assistance with academic advising, please contact the Bumpers College Student Services Team.
